It’s been in my heart since I was young to write a book. I always thought my first published piece would be a children’s book. Don’t get me wrong, I do have something in the works in that realm. However, I felt a calling in my heart to write about something much different.

I’m thankful that I followed my intuition. It led me to an amazing person, Ruben Solomon, who is helping me get my book published. Right now, it sounds like I should be looking at having it live in the next 2 weeks. But, what I wrote about is so personal to what I feel my calling is in life. Something I was built innately, and through life lessons of refinement, to speak about. Purpose.
Before I continue, I want to make it clear that this post is NOT some hidden tactic to sell my book. I would love for each and everyone of you to read it. But, that is not what I am writing about in this moment.
America was founded on principals that connected humans as innate creatures of God. This deep connection to our creator had never founded a nation before us. Yes, religion has historically been a part of different nations across the world since the dawn of time. The Judeo-Christian values — no. Fighting for our freedom not only from tyranny, politics and laws we no longer agreed with, that we felt condoned instead of lifted by. We fought for our freedom to live our lives in ways that aligned with the purpose God had built us for. Whether it was through raising families, farming, carpentry, inventing, whatever your heart desires. It was that we believed in building a nation where everyone had the ability to go after the “pursuit of happiness”, which directly related to our life lived with God.
Through generations separated from this historic moment, so much has changed. World Wars, political climates, and what I believe is one of the biggest disconnects we have to life now – technology. The way technology came into being and thus evolved has completely disconnected us from the people around us, how to live our lives, alignment with ourselves, and above all our connection with God.
This separation of connection in multiple fronts has caused us to become isolated from our soul to our daily lives. The “Purpose” media has trained us to search for is truly nothing to do with the purpose we are meant to live in. This is a Massive Disconnect. It’s breaking us down as a nation, society, individually, and corrupting our ability to align with our soul.
The more we the people hand over our autonomy, the more we lose our control of large and small things around us. We have handed not just political powers at be, not just massive businesses, but we have very directly handed technology our remote. We may have handed it over with trust and hope. But it has been turned on us, and they pressed mute. Mute on our hopes, our trust, and most of all they pressed mute on our purpose.
It’s time to reclaim ourselves, our nation, and our soul. It’s time to take the remote back. Now is the time we re-discover what purpose truly is, and how we begin living in the true pursuit of happiness, on our path of purpose once again.
